GCET – Gujarat Common Entrance Test

GCET – Gujarat Common Entrance Test is being conducted every year during the month of July. There are two examinations conducted on two consecutive Sundays for MBA and MCA. Around 50 MBA institutes give admission to their MBA programs through GCET. There are approximately 3500 seats being offered totally by all the MBA institutes through GCET.
Gujarat Technological University (GTU) will be conducting Gujarat Common Entrance Test (GCET) exam for MBA and MCA courses for the academic year 2009-10 in the first week of July.
The eligibility criteria to write GCET are as follows.
- Candidates should possess a minimum of 50% marks in the graduation papers.
- Students who have just given their final year exams and awaiting results can also appear.
- Non-resident Gujarat candidates shall be eligible if they have passed the qualifying examination from their respective state.
The GCET test will include questions on the following sections.
- Reading and Comprehension,
- Language Proficiency,
- Numerical Ability,
- Data Analysis,
- Logical Reasoning,
- General Knowledge and General Business Environment.
Gujarat common entrance test (GCET) is given more importance by many MBA aspirants since it gives admission to many reputed MBA institutions throughout the state. GCET is always regarded as an option in addition to CAT by the MBA aspirants since the universities that come under GCET are the pioneers in providing excellent management courses.
