Engineering colleges making money by misusing fee refund of students who withdraw

The institute I am taking admission to is to pay full fee for the first year in advance and their refund rules are vague and they will keep the full fee if I do not join that college. What can I do?Another unfair tactic veru common among the money making engineering colleges. If you cancell your seat before the starting date of the course they can only deduct Rs. 1000/- (yes only one thousand) as per the AICTE rules.Full story
Engineering colleges keeping the original marksheets and certificates against rules
The institute I am taking admission to is asking me to deposit the original marksheets, TCs and certificates of 10th and 12th? If I give them - how will I participate in other cousellings?That is one of the unfair tactic adopted by the shody institutions. By retaining the original marksheets they want to ensure that you do not get admission to any other college. All such institutes also make sure that their admission process starts much before the process of AIEEE and state Counsellings.Full story
