02 ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:

(A) NATIONALITY/CITIZENSHIP

A CANDIDATE MUST BE A CITIZEN OF INDIA AND BELONGS TO ANDHRA PRADESH STATE

(B) EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS (as on 01.04.2009)

(a) Degree of recognized university in any discipline with a minimum of 60% marks (55% marks for SC/ST)
(b) Proficiency of local language is required.
(c) Preference to computer literates in MSDOS, MS Word, MS Excel, Networking
(d) Preference to Professional qualification in Engineering, Business Admin, Law, Agriculture, Veterinary Sciences, Horticulture, Marketing.

OR
(b) Pass with 50% marks (45% for SC/ST) in aggregate in Higher Secondary Examination of 10+2+3 pattern, XI standard of 11+3 pattern/pre-degree or intermediate or any equivalent examination

(c) Diploma in Banking recognized by Central/State Govt.or Union Territory
OR
(d) Pass with minimum 60% marks (55% for SC/ST) in aggregate in matriculation/Senior School Certificate (Old pattern) or equivalent
AND
ii. Proficiency of local language is required
iii. Knowledge of English language
iv. Preference to computer literate in MS DOS, MS Word, MS Excel, Networking etc.

03. AGE LIMIT (As on 01.04.2009):

Between 18 years and 26 years as on 01.04.2009.

04. RELAXATION OF UPPER AGE LIMIT

Relaxation to SC/ST – by 5 years

Relaxation to OBC - by 3 years

Relaxations to Ex-servicemen and commissioned officers ECOs/SSCOs who have rendered at least 5 years military service and have been released on completion of assignment (including those whose assignment is due to be completed within next one year from the last date of receipt of application) other than by way of dismissal or discharge on account of misconduct or inefficiency or on account of physical disability attributable to military service or on availment by 5 years for selection through written test & interview subject to ceiling as per Govt.guidelines. An ex-serviceman who has once joined a Govt.job on civil side after availing the benefits given to him as an ex-serviceman for his re-employment including a job in Public Sector Undertaking, ceases to enjoy ex-serviceman status for further employment

Relaxations to Physically handicapped: SC/ST – by 15 years, OBC – by 13 years and General – by 10 years

05. Application fee including postal charges(non-refundable)

For SC/ST Rs.50/- (for each post towards postal charges only)
For all others Rs.250/- for each post (including Postal charges of Rs.50/-)
Note:

a) Requisite application fee must be paid by means of A/c Payee crossed Bank pay order/ Bank demand draft issued by a scheduled Bank, payable at Kadapa, in favour of “Andhra Pragathi Grameena Bank- Recruitment Project 2009 ”.

b) Bank Demand Draft/Bank pay order must be purchased on or after the date of advertisement but on or before the last date of submission of application.

c) Payment by cash/Cheque/Money order/IPO etc., will not be accepted.

d) Candidates must write his/her name, Post and address on the reverse of the Bank demand draft/Bank pay order.

e) Application once made will not be allowed to be withdrawn and fees once paid will not be refunded on any account nor can it be held in reserve for any other examination or selection.

05. SELECTION PROCEDURE:

Post Code 1:

The selection of the candidates shall be made on the basis of written test and interview. All the eligible candidates who apply with the requisite fee and whose applications are received in time will be called for a written test, which will be Objective type comprising

Note:

a) The marks obtained in first 3 papers will be reduced to 60 marks for the purpose of preparing merit list after the written examination. The test of English Language will not be counted for merit/ranking.
b) Minimum qualifying marks shall be 35% in all the subjects and relaxation of 5% in minimum qualifying marks to be provided to candidates belonging to SC/STs

Marks obtained in the written test in the first three papers will be reckoned for merit ranking. Accordingly candidates will be called for interview. Depending upon the number of vacancies only those candidates who ranked sufficiently high in the order of merit in the written test will be called for interview in the ratio of 1:4. Mere eligibility/pass in the test shall not vest any right for being called for interview.

Candidates belonging to SC/ST category will be extended relaxation upto 5% in qualifying marks in written examination.

The detailed information regarding the written test will be given in the “Acquaint yourself” booklet which will be sent to the candidates along with the call letter for written examination.

INTERVIEW – 40 marks: The candidates shall secure a minimum of 50% marks (45% marks for SC/ST) in interview.

Final selection will be on the basis of the ranking accorded after adding the marks obtained in the written test and interview. The Bank reserves the right to hold a second stage of written examination, if required, on the basis of the order of merit in the written examination of the first stage, as referred to above. If the second stage written examination is held, the subsequent process of interview and further process would be on the basis of order of merit secured in the second stage examination

PROBATION:

For post code 01 : 2 years extendable by another 1 year.

REQUIREMENT TO EXECUTE AN INDEMNITY BOND:

ALL THOSE CANDIDATES SELECTED FOR POST OF CLERK CUM CASHIER/ OFFICER SCALE – I, FOR RECRUITMENT IN THE BANK, SHALL HAVE TO EXECUTE AN INDEMNITY BOND, BINDING THEMSELVES TO PAY A LUMPSUM AMOUNT OF RS.1.00 LAKH IN CASE OF CLERK CUM CASHIERS AND RS.1.50 LAKHS IN CASE OF OFFICER SCALE – I, WHO WISH TO LEAVE THE ORGANISATION/RESIGN FROM THE SERVICES WITHIN A PERIOD OF 1 YEAR IN CASE OF CLERK CUM CASHIERS AND WITHIN 2 YEARS IN CASE OF OFFICERS SCALE – I.

The application meant for Post Code No. 2 i.e. Clerk-cum-Cashier should be addressed and sent to the POST BOX NO.9004, GOREGAON(EAST), MUMBAI – 400060.

CALL LETTERS
Call letter for written examination will be sent to the eligible candidates at the correspondence address given in their application form by ordinary post and requests for sending letters to a different address subsequently will not be accepted.

An eligible candidate for written examination for Post Code No. 1 & 2, who does not receive the call letter prior to 2 days from the date of exam, may contact the Bank at the following address between 10.00 AM and 5.00 PM, by indicating his/her name, address, date of birth, details of Bank Demand Draft/Bank Pay Order and Examination Centre opted, to enable the Bank to take immediate remedial action.
