UPTU revised counselling schedule 2009

UPTU revised counselling schedule 2009 as and when declared by the state government of Uttar Pradesh Technical University (UPTU) to start its counselling for admissions in various courses from July 26.

The counselling scheduled earlier for July 10 was deferred following the High Court stay order on a petition filed by private institutes, which opposed quota system.

In its order issued yesterday to the UPTU, the state directed it to conduct admissions as per reservation norms. It will continue till September 3.

The state government has awarded 50 per cent reservation for backward castes in all management and engineering colleges.

The State government later filed SLP in the Supreme Court, which in its order left it to the private colleges to decide whether they wanted to follow the quota system or not.
