NCERT NTSE exam stages

NCERT-National Talent Search Examination (NTSE) 2012 has two stages.

Stage I  (States)

1. The last date for submission of application Form is on 31 August,2011.
2. The examination will takes place in Meghalaya, Nagaland and Andaman and Nicobar Islands on19 November, 2011.
3. The Examination in all other States and Union Territories is on 20 November, 2011.

Stage II (National)

1. The Examination in All States and Union Territories – 13th May, 2012

Eligiblity for NTSE Exam

The Students of Class VIII who are studying in recognized schools are eligible to appear for the respective Class VIII Stage I examination conducted by the States/UTs in which the schools are located. There has no restriction of domicile

NTSE Exam syllabus and pattern

Examination: The structure of written examination for Class VII is following as:

Stage I examination at the State/UT level will basically consists of two parts, namely (a) Mental Ability Test (MAT) and (b) Scholastic Ability Test (SAT) which includes social sciences, sciences and mathematics.

Stage II examination at the National level will consists of (a) Mental Ability Test (MAT), (b) Scholastic Ability Test (SAT) which includes Social Sciences, Science and Mathematics.
