Teacher’s Day

On every 5th September India is celebrating as ‘The Teacher’s Day’. On Teacher Day is observed in a honour of Former President of India and great Teacher .

Dr. Sarvapalli Radhakrishnan was born on September,1888. His contribution towards education was remarkable and he was responsible for bringing the awareness of education in India and the importance of education in our life.Education is the root cause of development of any country in the world.

Dr. Sarvapalli RadhaKrishnan has also honoured with several awards such as Knighthood Award in 1931. And also the Bharat Ratna Award in 1954. He was the first Vice President of India in 1952–1962.

Even though he became the second President of India in 1962. Still he is recognised as great teacher and philospher. He wrote his first book named as ” The Philosophy of Rabindranath Tagore”. As he was the President of India, some of his students,admirer and friends requested for allowing them to celebrate his birthday on 5 September,on that he said instead of celebrating my birthday individually, if 5 September is celebrated as Teacher Day, it would be my honoured. It really signifies that how much he loved and respected the teaching profession  in his life.

From education we acquire knowledge and without we cannot make our lives worthy. It is a education which taught us what is right and what is wrong. We also taught from what is our moral duties. That’s why someone has rightly said, “we should respect and obey three persons in our life, they are Parents, God and Teacher. Teacher plays a vital role in a human beings life.
In India on 5 September, all the schools and colleges   the Teacher’s Day is celebrated with respect and love. In schools, senior students for one day in a respect and  remembering of  ”Great Teacher Dr. Saravapalli RadhaKrishnan”,they became teachers  and  teaches to their junior students. It really show that in India students and teachers how far they love and  grateful to this great personality who has given a new meaning to our  life.
Teacher who guides and instruct to the students for shaping their career and it is only teacher who firstly recognised the students calibre and talent which is appreciated by him only. So students always admire and obey the teacher.
