The word ‘Law’ evokes the sight of a blind-folded statue, holding a scale, as depicted in the movies. Lawyers have for long been understood (or should we say, misunderstood) as persons in black, always trying to turn grey into black or white, depending on which side they are. The fact remains that many of our great leaders including Mahatama Gandhi, Moti Lal Nehru, Jawahar Lal Nehru, in spite of being lawyers, could not give this profession its due as a career choice.
