Odisha’s Centurion University Ranked Among The Top 20% Universities In India
Conducted by the Ministry of Human Resources Development, the NIRF-2020 ranking puts the Centurion University of Technology and Management the top 20%Universities in India. It is also the only Skill University in the list this year with such distinction. National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) accepted by MHRD comprises various parameters including ‘Teaching, Learning, and Resources’, ‘Graduation Outcomes’, ‘Research and Professional Practices’, ‘Outreach and Inclusivity’ as well as ‘Perception’.
Similarly, in India Ranking 2020 in the engineering category in NIRF, Centurion University of Technology and Management ranked in the top 25% institutions in the country. Centurion University has been accorded as a Grade “A” university by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC), established by the UGC of MoHRD, Govt of India after evaluating the performance of the Universities in the Country. Only 2% of the Universities are Grade “A” in India.
Centurion University is one of the youngest universities to achieve such a distinction. Its unique skill integrated higher education model has been widely recognized by several global organizations such as the United Nations, UNESCO, World Bank as well as nationally by the NITI Aayog, Government of India and State Governments. Chandigarh University Ranks Amongst The Top 100 Engineering & Management Institutions Of India In NIRF Ranking 2020 Released By MHRD
University Pro-Chancellor, Dr. R.S.Bawa, said, "Chandigarh University has registered improvement in all the parameters which are taken into consideration by MHRD while preparing the ranking of the elite institutions of the country in NIRF Ranking. Last year Chandigarh University ranked 117th in the Engineering domain but in 2020 rankings, CU has managed to improve its ranking by moving up 33 positions and registering 84th rank in the top 100 engineering universities and institutions ranking." In the engineering domain, Chandigarh University ranked 13th in all North India while it ranked 3rd in North India Private Engineering University rankings. In the management domain, Chandigarh University ranked 10th in all North India Management Institutions Ranking.
"Chandigarh University recorded a jump in NIRF Ranking 2020 by showcasing an all-round improvement in its score, as it scores 38.82 this year in comparison to 34.48 in 2019 in the engineering domain while the score in management also recorded a jump from 41.86 in 2019 to 46.40 this year," said Dr. Bawa.

IIT Guwahati Among Best 70 Young Universities In World, Four From India In Top 150
New Delhi: Four Indian universities have found a place among 150 best young universities in the world and Indian Institute of Technology in Guwahati (IIT-Guwahati) was ranked best from India with a rank under 70, said Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) a global ranking body, in an annual list of best universities under 50years of age.
The 2021 edition of the QS Top 50 Under 50 Rankings released Wednesday has placed IIT-Hyderabad, the central university of Hyderabad, and the Jindal Global University in Haryana as the other three institutions from India in the best 150 universities list. This is one more than last year, thanks to the debut of IIT-Hyderabad in the ranking this year.
While IIT Guwahati has been placed in the 60-70 rank grouping, the rest three from India were placed in the 101-150 band. In this ranking, QS gives individual ranks to the top 50 and then puts institutions in groups.
Singapore’s Nanyang Technological University (NTU) retains its status as the world’s leading young institution. NTU is closely followed by the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, South Korea’s KAIST, and the City University of Hong Kong. All of the top four institutions had found a place in the global top-50 in the overall QS World University Rankings released in the recent past.
Australia, with nine universities among the top 50, enjoys higher levels of representation than any other location.
